My Lore

Posted by Grymoria - 4 hours ago

⚠️ Trigger Warning: This lore will mention misogyny, abuse, technical transphobia, gore, and suicide. I also want to point out that my character, her mom, and her uncle all have similar names, being one letter off, so if you have dyslexia or any other reading disadvantages, I apologize. ⚠️

Summary:

Grymoria (birthname was different) grew up as a princess of a futuristic, neon-lit, tech-advanced planet called Neo-Nether. Loved by her mother, Empress Grymorsa, but hated by her father, Emperor Jinyx, for not being a male heir, she was raised with lessons in combat, weaponry, and magic with the help of her mother, her uncle Grymorta, and servants. When Grymoria was a teenager, Jinyx tried to force her into a queen's role by arranging suitors, but she rejected these expectations. From 13-17, she was being rude to her dates. When she became 18, she started killing them after sleeping with them constantly till they died of exhaustion, causing her to get the title of Seductress/Temptress of Death or Whore/Slut of Death. She also presented herself as masculine, her true self that Jinyx hated, but Grymorsa and Grymorta accepted. Determined to end her father's dystopia on the planet and become a Soul Reaper, she trained constantly even when she was punished and grounded for the things she'd done. She eventually started to obey Jinyx's commands when he started to be more abusive towards her. However, she became an undercover vigilante so she could continue to kill people who supported her father's dystopia.

At 25, she was bitten by a ghoul during a necromancy lesson with her mother and died after a couple of weeks of dealing with an incurable and life-threatening ghoul fever. In the afterlife, she met Death, where she trained her as a soul reaper, giving her the title Demoness of Death. When Grymoria returned to the living as a ghoul, she awoke in a funeral home to find her mother in the coffin beside her, leading to a confrontation with her father, who admitted to her murder and his hatred for Grymoria. Seeking vengeance, she killed her father and ate the majority of his flesh, leaving his skeleton behind.

After defeating her father, Grymorta discovered that Grymoria had returned from the afterlife. As a medical technician and warlock, he helped Grymoria by giving her magical cybernetic implants & enhancements all over her body. Plus, he changed her scythe's handle by adding some of her father's skeleton. After that, her Uncle became the next Emperor to replace his sister and brother-in-law. As for Grymoria, she dethroned herself as princess, changed her appearance, and decided to leave the planet, going somewhere else to live. Now, she resides in a refurbished church with a graveyard in the woods on Earth and lives a double life: as a former gravedigger, now model and content creator by day, and taking several jobs that involve killing bad people at night while getting their souls, still being a soul reaper for Death. She renamed herself to Grymoria to honor her mother and her uncle.

Early Life

Grymoria (name at the time was different) was born as a succubus and raised on a futuristic, neon-lit, tech-advanced planet called Neo-Nether. She is the planet’s princess and the child of an Incubus Emperor named Jinyx and a Succubus Empress named Grymorsa. Her mother loved her for who she was, but her father hated her because he wanted his firstborn to be male so the next heir to his throne would be an emperor. Growing up, Grymoria was raised by her mom, her uncle Grymorta (her mom’s twin brother), and some of the servants in the castle. The servants taught Grymoria basic education, such as reading, writing, and math; her mother taught her necromancy and hand-to-hand combat, and her uncle taught her technomancy and weaponry. Her father, however, was barely in the picture because he wanted nothing to do with her. Instead, he was trying to find Grymoria a future husband so they could be the male heir to his throne, and the bloodline could continue.

When Grymoria was a teenager, she was a practical tomboy. She was into video games, skating, biking, etc. She dressed in alternative masculine looks, wearing only black with edgy accessories and dark makeup. Her mom and uncle accepted her, but when her father noticed, he didn’t like it and was very bothered by it. He would force her to behave like a lady and dress like one as well. He even forced her on dates with princes within Neo-Nether and other noblemen so she could become their future wife. Out of rebellion, Grymoria would purposely be rude, refusing to be ladylike during these dates because she wasn’t interested in any of the guys or going on dates. She even rips some of the dresses, dyes them black, and adds edgy detailing. Because of this rebellious behavior, her father would ground her by taking her things and not allowing her Uncle or Mother to teach her magic and fighting skills. When she was grounded, she would still read books based on the magic she was learning and do some training sessions. Her goal was to become a soul reaper and rebel against her father by ending his dystopia in Neo-Nether.

When she was 18, Grymoria was still forced to go on dates with princes and other noblemen, and she was still forced to look feminine and be ladylike. This was when Grymoria took advantage of her status as a succubus. During these dates, Grymoria would seduce some of them, and she kept seducing them and sleeping with them till they died of exhaustion by taking their sexual energy and then their souls when she slept with them. Because of this, people started calling her the Seductress/Temptress of Death. Some would call her the Whore/Slut of Death as well. Her father grew tired of her rebellion; he felt like she was putting a bad name on the royal family, so he started abusing her in more ways than one to make her obey his commands. Her mother and uncle knew, so they begged her to listen, and that’s when she stopped her rebellion. However, behind her parents’ and her uncle’s backs, she would be an undercover

Cyberpunk vigilante, calling herself The Grim Reaver, and killing people who supported and took part in her father’s dystopia in Neo-Nether.

Death and Revenge

When Grymoria was 25, one day during a Necromancy lesson with her mother, she was learning how to control a ghoul’s mind. During this lesson, a maid tried to inform Grymoria and her mother that Grymoria was marrying one of the princes her father chose to be the next emperor. Not paying attention to the ghoul, Grymoria ended up getting bitten by it on her shoulder, trying to eat her flesh. She killed the ghoul easily, but its bite was causing her intense pain. Within the first week, Grymoria developed a sickness called ghoul fever. Despite her mom, uncle, and servants trying to take care of her and make her feel better, unfortunately, the ghoul fever was incurable and deadly. After another week, she died, resting in her bed with her parents, her uncle, and some of the servants by her side.

When she came to the afterlife, she first met Death. Death informed her that she had died; however, she would not be in the afterlife for long because the ghoul’s bite on her was turning her into one too, and she would return to the living, making her immortal. Grymoria understood, so she asked if Death could train her since her dream was to become a soul reaper and collect the souls of morally bad people. Death already knew Grymoria’s story, and she was willing to train Grymoria for how long she had left to be in the afterlife. Death also hired her as a soul reaper and granted her the title of the Demoness of Death based on the titles others were given her in the living.

When Grymoria returned to the living, she woke up and noticed she was in a coffin, yet she wasn’t buried. When she opened the coffin, she saw herself wearing royal feminine attire. She also noticed that her skin was paler & she had another set of fangs while craving flesh. She then saw another coffin next to her. Curious about who it was, she examined the coffin for a name. Even though she couldn’t physically feel it, emotionally her heart dropped when she saw the name Grymorsa, her mother. She opened the coffin and saw her wearing a royal outfit matching her status as Empress. She also noticed some scars and wounds that people attempted to cover up. Because of what she witnessed, she wanted to cry, but due to the lack of water in her now undead body, she couldn’t, so instead, she got angry, which caused her power to rise.

She immediately left the funeral home, flying to the castle. She wanted to confront her father because she knew he was the cause of her mother’s death. When she arrived, she headed straight to the throne room, where she killed the guards that were around and saw her father, Jinyx. Jinyx was in shock and questioned how Grymoria was alive. She told him that the ghoul that bit her caused her to become one as well, making her come back to the living. She also demanded that her father tell her what happened to her mother, Grymorsa. Jinyx confessed that he had beaten Grymorsa to death. He blamed her for Grymoria's death and for why he couldn’t have a male heir. He then stated that he always hated Grymoria and wanted to marry her off to a man who could straighten her up while being a great emperor who could continue his dystopia on Neo-Nether. Those confessions caused Grymoria to get so angry that her power rose again, and she started to attack Jinyx. Jinyx tried to fight back, but Grymoria’s power overrode his, and she killed him, eating most of his flesh and leaving his skeleton behind.

The (Re-)Birth of Grymoria

When she was done, her Uncle Grymorta arrived and looked at the scene in shock. He was shocked that Grymoria was back, and he was shocked to see her covered in blood and the flesh of her father, with his skeleton on the floor. That’s when he realized that Grymoria had become a ghoul herself, so he helped her instead of being scared of her. Grymorta told Grymoria to clean herself up, while he took care of Jinyx’s remains. A couple of hours passed, and they were in Grymorta’s house. Grymoria explained everything that happened when she died. From her meeting with Death to her killing and eating her father. Grymorta was mad. He didn’t know that Jinyx was the cause of his sister, Grymorsa’s, death. He was told that she killed herself out of depression after Grymoria's death. Grymorta decided to thank Grymoria for avenging Grymorsa, and as a medical technician and warlock, he was going to give Grymoria magical cybernetic upgrades to her body so she could at least feel alive again, and she could become stronger.

Grymorta carefully upgraded parts of Grymoria’s body from her brain to her legs. Death overheard what Grymorta was doing for Grymoria, so she gave him Grymoria’s soul so it would power up her body. After weeks of upgrading and inserting implants within her body, he was done, and Grymoria was a full-blown bio-cybernetic Ghoul Succubus. Most of her organic body parts had a magical cybernetic upgrade, making her function like a living being again with the help of her soul. During weeks of Grymorta upgrading her, he informed every place within Neo-Nether that Emperor Jinyx was dead, and he was going to take his place. But he lied to them, saying that Jinyx also committed suicide due to losing his daughter and wife. He turned parts of Jinyx’s skeleton into a handle for Grymoria’s scythe so she could keep it as a trophy, while the rest of the skeleton was burned to ashes and put inside an urn and with the help of Death, Jinyx’s soul is sealed inside the scythe to enhance its strength and magic.

For a couple of weeks after having cybernetic upgrades, Grymoria stayed around to test if she could handle her new upgrades and upgraded scythe, and her new powers as a ghoul, with her uncle monitoring her. No one else knew about Grymoria returning to the living as a ghoul; she didn’t want anyone else to know. So she decided to dethrone herself as the princess and changed her appearance so no one would recognize her. She then decided to no longer live in Neo-Nether because it was nothing but bad memories for her, and she knew that her uncle could take care of the planet and fix everything that her father had done. She, along with the help of her Uncle Grymorta and Death, moved to Earth, where her new home is a formerly previously abandoned, now refurbished church with a graveyard in the middle of the woods, and with the help of her technomancy and bio-cybernetic brain, she was able to easily learn how to live and blend in with the humans on Earth.

In the first year she lived there, she managed to get a job as a gravedigger. She then became a gothic model and a popular content creator, but behind the scenes, she was an assassin, bounty hunter, hitman, mercenary, and vigilante. She’s taking various jobs to end the lives of bad people and taking their souls. Speaking of, she is still a soul reaper for Death. Sometimes her uncle would take vacations from Neo-Nether to Earth, visiting her so they could catch up. Because of all the changes in her life, from becoming a ghoul succubus, to the cybernetic upgrades, to dethroning herself, to changing her appearance, to living somewhere new with various jobs that she loves, she also decided to change her name to honor her mother and uncle. She now became Grymoria, the Demoness of Death.
